National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center at Wilberforce.
Two years ago at The National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center, I had the privilege of seeing an exhibit which featured Black artists and their involvement in comics over the course of history.
Now, flash forward to two years later. I was asked to be a part of a one day showcase featuring a few other comic artists of color under the same title at the same Museum at Wilberforce University, an HBCU in Ohio. I shared the scene with friends, both old and new, and gave a presentation on the creative process of comics.
The show was put together by Derek Pridemore and Addison Pettiford. The show was a great blend of art, food, and fellowship. The show was awes and I can't wait to see how it grows in the coming years.
