I’ve been added to the list of artists who will be participating in Free Comics Day at Heroes and Dragons on May 5th. I will be there doing free sketches and previewing Jet Boy issue zero which will be released online here at Planet Roc at Midnight May 6th.
June 13th I will be at Heroes once again signing copies of JET BOY: ALL JETS GO! issue one as it makes it’s Columbia debut.

5 years in the making, JET BOY #0 will drop on May 16th, 2012.
The 15 page, full color, prequel will drop next year bringing forth the end of the JET BOY online viral campaign which is starting to take shape right now around the internet. All of the viral marketing and clues to the top secret JET BOY storyline will come to a head with #0 and kick off JET BOY: ALL JETS GO!

2012 marks the release of two of my comics through my new Fite Klub comics/ RocBottom studios imprint. After many delays and staff changes, Jet Boy and Shadowclub Karma are set for release in the summer and fall of next year. To help build momentum for the upcoming comics, a huge viral campaign for each comic has been put into place.
Starting with JET BOY, so far, two active viral sites have emerged. One being the blog of Jimmy Jordan, the arch nemesis of Jet Boy’s alter ego Paul Perkins. Jimmy is a reporter for Fredrick Jr. High’s school newspaper. And his blog reflects his research into the mysterious Section 17 organization. His research in the blog leads up to the events that take place in JET BOY: ALL JETS GO issue one, in which every week leading up to the comic’s release, you will find new clues that take you to other sites to piece together the big puzzle that will finally be revealed in issue one. On January 20th, part one of a live action documentary will be shown at one of the sites directed from Jimmy’s blog. Follow Jimmy’s blog at:

In the Jet Boy universe, Clown Burger is a Mcdonald’s- type fast food chain of choice… but it hide a HUGE secret in not only the world of Jet Boy, but in Jimmy’s research. Check out the first set of clues directed from Jimmy’s blog at:

Moving on to SHADOWCLUB KARMA, a different approach was taken.
For the most part, all of the viral action will take place on ONE site. The clues given there will give more a backstory of the characters and storyline of Shadowclub. It’s a good place to dive into the mythology of the characters and their origins, as well as the events leading up to the Prologue and issue zero. Follow The Shadow Pages on Tumblr at:

Next week starts the retail advertising on both of these viral titles. Posters, flyers and other promotional goodies will make their way into local stores then expand from there.
JET BOY: ALL JETS GO! ISSUE ONE is set for a JUNE 2012 release.
SHADOWCLUB KARMA is set for FALL 2012. An official release date for that project will be announced here at Planet Roc in Febuary.
